A rather lazy Easter Sunday in Stinson Beach at Carter's mom's house. Well... lazy for me that is. After getting up at 7:00 to do a run up the Steep Ravine Trail to Panoramic Rd. and then down the Matt Davis Trail, i got to hang out in the warm sunny patches next to the lagoon on the deck of the house. Carter, Karen, Anna and Megan, on the other hand, jumped into the water around 10 am to practice for the Wildflower Triathlon which is coming up in May. They swam roughly a mile, followed by a 22 mile ride up the Fairfax/Bolinas Rd and back down Panoramic and finished with a couple of miles on the beach. i think i will stick to the sunbathing.

Despite being six months (!!!) pregnant, Karen still manages to get her wetsuit on and completes the swim right alongside (or ahead?) of the other three! Why does it not surprise me that she wants to have a water birth for Baby Duck?
Sitting around playing the guitar and feeling very content to be staying dry that morning.
